The Map of Isentia (Post-Warp)

While the original Isentia Campaign took place in a homebrewed region called “Starhaven”, when the story lead to the merging of the planes into a single realm, the world map changed as a result. Expanding beyond the region of Starhaven, I worked to incorporate planar-influenced landscapes throughout a sprawling game world. Each player would have hooks into different realms – the party’s Paladin would find his fallen god in the realm of Angelfall, the party’s Warlock would see a war between her Pact Master and another vying for her favor in Baator.

This would allow the traditional “Planar Exploration” phase of a high-level D&D campaign while melding the world together, creating interesting experiences in what effectively became a post-apocalyptic magical world. The party would leave the wastes of Starhaven, the magical “Warp” threat being too much for their current experience to handle, siphoned into the realm of the Cenrashi Grasslands, which gave them their first glimpse of Post-Apocalypse society, mixing themes from Steampunk and High Fantasy with aspects from Post-Apocalyptic genres such as tribal societies and magically mutated monsters.
