Chronicles of The Sentinels of Thornwood Hold, Volume Three

The Sentinels of Thornwood Hold

“Silverheart. The Sentinels. Guardians of Thornwood Hold. Protectors. Watchers. Heroes.

The guild had gained many names over the years. It had done many things, battled many foes, protected many villages. In the area, the people looked to Silverheart for protection, and the guild members always delivered on their promises. So very rarely had they ever failed when put to task – their reputation grew to one of reliability, professionalism, and utmost care. The Sentinels of Thornwood Hold became known to those outside the guild by many names as the years went by.

But as one who was orphaned by a goblin raid, who sought out purpose, who languished in loneliness, and fell down a troubled path, the truth in their name became apparent to me the day they opened their doors and offered me a home. For no truer, no more noble of metal could there be than blessed silver, and it showed in the nobility of their leadership, and the truth of their promise. In all of them, I found what I was missing in life. Kinship. Acceptance. Heart.

Silverheart means many things to those who call its name: protection, guidance, reliability. To those of us who wandered lost, and were guided to its doors, Silverheart meant something different.

Silverheart meant family.”

– Raedyn Vaelynmoor, Third Guildmaster of Silverheart
